The Southeast Correctional Center is a 1500 bed prison located in Charleston, Missouri. Commissioning services covered 13 buildings representing housing; central services including laundry, kitchen, dining, recreation, and medical treatment facilities; administration; maintenance; and a central plant. Responsibilities were verification of complete installation and proper performance of all heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and Building Automation System (BAS) components. It was essential that all commissioning be completed on schedule before active occupancy. Testing and balancing services were included in the commissioning scope. Complete documentation of systems installation and testing were provided. Follow up during the warranty period was included.
