WTA designed MEPF and telecommunication systems for the new 18-story Maryland Walk condominium complex. WTA worked closely with the Architect and Developer to establish system criteria, space requirements, HVAC zones and design for the project. On this tight site, parking spaces were as valuable as residential units. WTA conceived and executed systems for electrical distribution and garage ventilation that preserved parking spaces. A high-tech telecommunication / A/V infrastructure was considered a critical component of the units. WTA designed the telecommunication systems to support any variety of systems required by high-tech residences. The project included:

  • Media distribution center in each unit
  • Capability of total convergence service including voice/IP
  • Building CATV system consisting of cable TV, satellite TV, and off air networks all supporting HDTV broadcast
  • Security system including video monitoring and telephone entry access
  • Water source heat pump system allowing for individual tenant control while reducing complex utility costs
  • Designed mechanical/electrical systems for retail units at grade level
  • Worked with architect to select lighting systems for the building
