WTA provided engineering design for the renovation and addition of the five story, 193,000 sq.ft. Olin Library. The library includes new Space Saver Compact Shelving and a new 6,000 sq.ft. Cyber Cafe. The project included:
- Total electrical system upgrade
- Total fire alarm system upgrade
- Total lighting system upgrade including special stack lighting which provides automatic activation of lighting for only those shelves in use
- Total data and telecommunication systems upgrade including wireless data communication system in Cyber Cafe area
- Atrium HVAC design based on displacement ventilation principal
- Complete air handling system replacement in conjunction with space renovation while library remained open
- New heating system to convert building from steam system to hot water system
