WTA designed mechanical and electrical systems for The Center of Clayton Shared Recreation Center. The facility houses an eight lane indoor competition pool, a large indoor leisure pool, a lap pool, two double court gymnasiums, exercise room, aerobic room, interior running track, renovation of an existing gymnasium and extensive multi-purpose meeting space. The project included:
- New central plant which provides chillers, boilers, and related equipment to serve the recreation center and the expanded high school. The heating plant includes two, 200 bHp steam fire-tube boilers and two steam-to-hot-water heat exchangers.
- Separate air handling units for each new gymnasium, locker areas, and lobby
- Pool conditioning units with heat reclaim
- Energy conserving lighting facilities
- Extensive parking lot lighting
