WTA assisted Congregation Shaare Emeth in developing a masterplan for renovation and addition to their current facility. Scope of work includes: construction of a new gross motor room and classrooms; gut rehab of north wing to feature new administration offices, library and main entrance; and complete replacement of MEPF systems in the south classroom wing. The design features:
- New lighting systems throughout selected for energy efficiency. Lighting in art collection areas is selected to sustain the collection with proper color rendition without degradation caused by typical space lighting systems.
- Entire education wing sprinklered to improve life safety requirements.
- Dedicated makeup air system to dehumidify or heat outside air requirements based on the season. Outside air to occupied spaces is controlled by a combination of CO2 sensors and motion sensors.
- Phasing utilized to allow congregation minimal downtime outside of construction areas.
