WTA provided mechanical and electrical engineering services for the St. Louis Galleria Mall expansion. The expansion added 225,000 sq.ft. of mall space, two department stores, and two parking garages (5,000 parking spaces) to double the facility's size to 1,200,000 sq.ft. Project features included:

  • Design of systems to accommodate wide load swings resulting from variable occupancy patterns
  • Services for outdoor parking including electrical manholes, duct banks and lighting
  • Durability of exposed fixtures, especially plumbing, lighting and other wall mounted devices
  • A "Garden Court" with a fountain and a pool that can be drained and used for special events
  • Support systems for retail facilities
