WTA provided engineering design for the Taiwan World Trade Center which houses a seven story, 1,700,000 sq.ft. Trade Mart. The 2nd to 7th floors contain approximately 900 permanent export shops constituting a "Trade Mart" for international importers. More than 3,000 Taiwan exporters exhibit in the permanent Trade Mart and Export products Display Center. Project features include:

  • Modular utilities scheme allowing individual stores to be quickly installed and adapted to space requirements
  • EMCS system can produce individual utility bills for each store
  • The building atrium (equivelant to three football fields) accommodates international tradeshows. Utilities are provided by underfloor grid system
  • A separate trade show floor (equivelant to six football fields) can accommodate additional requirements
  • A one million gallon chilled water storage tank stores energy for peak usage
  • The building is designed to seismic zone 4 requirements
