Electrical Engineering: Extensive architectural integration of distribution equipment, wiring, and devices; seamless integration of electrical systems resulting in the creation of custom daylighting “Light Spreader” device suspended in 680 coffers; new 2,000 kVA unit substation; replacement of existing 4160 medium voltage switchboards with outdoor rated medium voltage switchgear; UPS system with 90 minute backup, fire alarm systems including concealed devices to minimize visual impact.

Project Details: Two new 5-story buildings with connecting glass atrium totaling 175,000 sq.ft.
Electrical Engineering: Multiple unit substations totaling 1250kVA; new 5kV service entrance derived from campus utility loop system for enhanced reliability; emergency life safety generator system; interface of fire alarm and automatic operation of doors and roof hatches for passive smoke evacuation system; addressable, voice annunciated fire alarm system, design and coordination or lighting fixtures and controls.

Donald Danforth Plant Science Center Greenhouse Facilities, Phases 1, 2, & 3
Project Details: Over the past 10 years, design of a series of three greenhouses totaling 50,000 sq.ft. and various plant support space.
Electrical Engineering: Emergency power to maintain greenhouse systems for 72 hours; site electrical enhancements to support Phase 2 and 3 construction; hose down rated and corrosion resistant electrical systems.
