WTA has practiced energy and environmentally conscious design for over 30 years. We offer services, such as daylighting analysis and DOE2 energy modeling, that may be used individually or in conjunction with other services to provide a clear understanding of a project's technical aspects.

LEED™ is a part of our practice. We have projects in various stages of progress from registration to certification. WTA was the first engineer in the Midwest to win a LEED™ rating for our client's (Nidus Center for Scientific Enterprise, Silver 2000).

We not only practice energy effective design; we teach it! For over 20 years, WTA has taught energy and environmental courses at Washington University School of Architecture. These courses promote the conscious use of building materials and form to reduce energy consumption and improve habitability.
