WTA provided engineering design for the new 500-seat Wentzville High School theater. The theater is equipped with 3,400 sq.ft. thrust stage, presidium, catwalks, fly rigging, light and sound booth as well as green rooms, dressing rooms and scene shop suitable for high school and professional productions. Special features include:

  • Use of fabric air dispersion system provides even distribution with draftless airflow and reduced HVAC noise as well as reduced installation cost. The fabric ducts enhance space acoustics by reducing reflecting noise.
  • Power distribution system to support state-of-the-art 150 kW theatrical dimming system
  • LED tread lights provide energy efficient lighting rated for years of continuous operation
  • Fully integrated and dimmable house lighting system
  • Fully code compliant fire protection system integrated with the architecture to become virtually invisible
  • Wet sprinkler systems at densities necessary for stage set fires.
  • Class III hose cabinets located for early fire control from retreatable positions
